| Abstract | This document specifies the first version of the DUP protocol. It
specifies the information sent from DUP to the DUPDs as well as the
format of the messages between multiple DUPDs. This version
specifically does not include any provisions for security. Security
concerns will be addressed in the next major version of the protocol.
